1. Identity Verification
- Local Guests: Must present a valid Sri Lankan National Identity Card (NIC).
- Resident Visa Holders: Will be categorized as foreign participants unless specified otherwise.
- Foreign Guests: Must present valid international identification (passport or national ID).
Visit Knuckles reserves the right to check identification at any time.
If fraudulent or misleading documents are detected, our guides may cancel the activity without refund.
2. Bookings & Payments
2.1 Booking Requests
- Submitting an online form does not guarantee a confirmed reservation.
- Our team will review your request and reply with the next steps for confirmation.
2.2 Advance Payment
- A 50% advance payment is required to secure your booking.
- Reservations are confirmed on a first-paid, first-served basis.
- The remaining balance must be settled on or before the tour date.
- All payments will be acknowledged with an invoice.
2.3 Additional Charges
- Items, services, or activities not included in your confirmed package will be billed separately.
- Any breakage, damage, or loss to equipment or property will be charged to the responsible individual or organizing group.
2.4 Credit Payments
- Credits may be used as full or partial payment for any experience on VisitKnuckles.com.
- Credits are valid for 2 years.
- Credits cannot be converted to cash.
- If a booking paid with credits is canceled, the amount will be reissued as credit.
3. Use of Photos & Videos
During tours, our team may capture photos and videos for promotional use.
If you do not wish to appear in media:
We will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference.
4. Disclaimer for Personal Belongings
Visit Knuckles does not take responsibility for:
- Lost items
- Damaged personal belongings
- Theft or misplacement of valuables
We strongly recommend avoiding bringing expensive electronics, jewelry, and unnecessary valuables on tours. Guests are solely responsible for safeguarding their personal items.
By joining our experiences, you agree that Visit Knuckles and its staff are not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
5.1 Weather-Related Changes
- Activities may be postponed or delayed due to adverse weather conditions.
- We will notify you in advance whenever possible based on weather forecasts.
If bad weather arises during your tour:
- No refunds will be issued.
- You may reschedule to another available date or choose an experience of equal value.
5.2 Customer Cancellations
No refund or rescheduling will be offered for cancellations initiated by the customer for personal reasons.
5.3 Company Cancellations
If Visit Knuckles cancels your tour:
- You will receive a full refund
- Banking and international transfer fees will be deducted
6. Operational Disclaimer
Visit Knuckles acts as an agent for certain experiences and activities within the Knuckles Mountain Range. While some tours are operated directly, others may be conducted by trusted partner suppliers.
We ensure all partners meet our safety and quality standards, but we do not assume liability for third-party actions beyond our control.
